“I kept always two books in my pocket, one to read, one to write in.”
Robert Louis Stevenson
And then there’s the reason why I decided to create a separate website from VegasWineaux.
It’s all about the books. Reading and writing. If you’ve noticed my byline on this site, it’s An Author, a Laptop, and a Glass of Wine. Now that I’m an author – or will be “officially” when the book officially launches online in just a few days from the writing of this post – I decided that it needed to be separate from my Vegas and Wine site. Here I get to share my other passion, which is reading and writing. I am a logophile. I love words. I will have a “moment” when a word or phrase is used in a special way. At my Toastmasters meetings, I will almost always volunteer to be the Grammarian and/or Ah Counter. That’s one of my addictions!

I’m not an expert by any means. I’m an expert (more or less) at writing, even if creative writing is a different fork in my writing journey. My documentation and instructional writing are so very different because they require me to be linear while putting words on paper. Creative writing, on the other hand, has me using more of my brain as I formulate plausible scenarios.
Yes. I love it.
Currently, I’m chewing nails as I wait for the official launch date. And although this may sound a little crazy, I’m more excited about being published than I am in becoming the next J.K. Rowling. Although I wouldn’t turn it down.
Thanks for stopping by, even if it’s by accident. I hope that my little journey into Romance novel authorship inspires you to return. And please consider subscribing. I promise not to spam!
